2025 Grand Vitara: Now More Premium with 8-Way Powered Seat & Ambient Lighting

Grand Vitara Launches with Premium Features and Bold New Look

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a significant update to its popular SUV, the Grand Vitara, making it even more premium and competitive in the mid-size SUV segment. The new update focuses on enhancing comfort, safety, design, and driving capability, ensuring the Grand Vitara meets the expectations of today’s tech-savvy and style-conscious buyers.

One of the standout additions is the 8-way powered driver’s seat, now available in select variants. This feature offers greater comfort and customization, allowing drivers to find their ideal driving position effortlessly. With multiple electronic adjustments, long journeys become more relaxed, and the overall driving posture is improved — especially beneficial for daily commuters and frequent travelers.

Adding to the cabin’s upscale feel is the introduction of ambient lighting, which elevates the in-car experience by creating a calm and luxurious atmosphere. It enhances the overall interior design, making night-time drives more enjoyable and giving the Grand Vitara a premium SUV vibe.

On the exterior front, the SUV now sports new 17-inch alloy wheels that bring a fresh look and a more commanding presence to the vehicle. These newly designed wheels not only improve aesthetics but also enhance stability and grip, giving the Grand Vitara a sportier road character.

In terms of safety, Maruti Suzuki has taken a major step forward by making six airbags standard across all variants. This includes front, side, and curtain airbags, offering comprehensive protection for all occupants in the event of a collision. It’s a clear sign of the brand’s commitment to raising safety standards in its SUV lineup.

To improve in-cabin air quality, especially in polluted urban environments, the updated Grand Vitara now comes equipped with a PM 2.5 air filter. This system filters out fine dust and particulate matter, ensuring that passengers breathe cleaner, healthier air — a thoughtful addition for families and health-conscious buyers.

One of the most practical and advanced additions to the updated model is the electronic parking brake (EPB). Unlike traditional mechanical handbrakes, the EPB is operated via a button and automatically engages or disengages depending on driving conditions. It also includes an auto-hold function, which prevents the vehicle from rolling backward on slopes or during stop-and-go traffic. This is particularly useful in urban environments, offering added convenience and safety while making parking easier and more efficient. The compact design of the EPB also frees up space in the center console, enhancing the overall cabin layout.

For those who enjoy an airy and open cabin feel, Maruti Suzuki has expanded the availability of the panoramic sunroof to more variants. Previously limited to top trims, the panoramic sunroof is now accessible to a wider range of buyers, allowing more people to enjoy enhanced visibility, ventilation, and a sense of spaciousness.

Performance-wise, the Grand Vitara continues to offer the capable AllGrip-Select all-wheel-drive system, now paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission (6 AT). This setup allows the driver to switch between different driving modes — Auto, Snow, Sport, and Lock — ensuring better control and traction across varying terrains. Whether it’s city commutes or weekend getaways, the AllGrip system makes the Grand Vitara a versatile and confident performer.
